58.002 Cryptic Wood White (Leptidea juvernica)

Very local and scarce in North Antrim. This is Ireland's most recently-discovered butterfly. It was first thought to be the very similar Wood White, then found to be different and believed be Réal's Wood White. Further analysis resulted in the Réal's Wood White species being split, and our one is now called Cryptic Wood White.

Location: County Londonderry
