Skylark feeding between song flights
The good weather holds for now at least
Mostly dry and plenty of blue skies - isn't it a pity you have to go to work! Saying that the evenings are really starting to stretch and photographic opportunities after work can't be too far away. Nor can the return of our summer visitors, Wheatears and Sand Martins are already being reported in the south of Ireland.

Singing Skylarks above the dunes of the North coast will more than satisfy me until the warblers etc arrive back.

On Wednesday at least 20 Harbour Porpoises were present at a number of sites off the north coast including 14 between Ballycastle and Rathlin Island. Interestingly many of them appeared to be sun bathing on the surface for extended periods up to 30-40 seconds at a time.
